Covid-19 Coronavirus Update 30 March 2020
Some of members our staff have been required to self-isolate.
As a result, the following arrangements will apply in our stores until further notice
Southampton: there will be no member of staff on site during normal reception office opening hours of 9am – 5.30pm until further notice. For the time being, toilet facilities will not be available to customers. In accordance with Government advice, we request that customers wishing to attend the store should wash their hands using soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds before they attend in store and, again, after they have left the store.
Farnborough: a member of staff will be available on site between 9.30am – 5.30pm on Monday to Friday only and the toilet facilities will remain available to customers for the time being.
Members of staff who are required to self-isolate will continue to work from home and are contactable by phone or by e mail.
Access to a Cubic Storage facility is automated and existing customers will still be able to access their storage unit using the keypad entry system during the times permitted under their agreement.
For new customers, a storage unit can be reserved for future use either online or over the telephone and the security paperwork can be deal with by a combination of online actions with telephone assistance from a member of staff.
We thank you for your co-operation.
Covid-19 Coronavirus Update 27 March 2020
In accordance with the Government’s updated advice we request that customers should only leave their homes for the specified limited purposes and so avoid visiting our storage facilities during the lock down unless it is essential.
A member of staff will continue to be present on site for the time being in accordance with our earlier announcement. The Government is currently permitting storage centres to remain open because it acknowledges that some business customers in storage centres may be part of the essential logistics supply chain. Accordingly, we request that our business customers who are not supplying essential goods and services should not visit the stores for the time being unless it is essential.
The times that a member of staff will be available on site may be subject to change at short notice and your understanding in this regard is appreciated. However, access to Cubic Storage is automated and existing customers will still be able to access their storage unit using the keypad entry system in accordance with their contracted hours.
We remind customers that although our stores are not crowded that Government advice regarding social distancing should be respected at all times.
We thank you for your co-operation.
Covid-19 Coronavirus Announcement 23 March 2020
At Cubic Storage, the health and safety of our customers and staff is our priority and we have introduced a policy of social distancing at all times during the Covid-19 outbreak and have introduced two key variations to normal routines in accordance with government advice.
- A single member of staff will be available between 9am – 5.30pm on Monday to Friday in the Southampton store and Monday to Saturday in the Farnborough store as some members of staff will work from home to reduce the potential for spreading the virus.
- The reception office will not be open in either store and there are instructions on the reception door as to how to contact the member of staff in the building.
For new customers, a storage unit can be reserved online and the security paperwork can be deal with by a combination of online actions with telephone assistance from a member of staff.
A member of staff will also be able to guide you through the move-in process in store whilst observing the social distancing regime in place.
All customers are asked that when they arrive at and leave a store to please wash their hands using soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds on each occasion.
Customer toilets are located on the ground floor close to the reception office in the main body of the store and have provision for handwashing.
We have been intensifying the cleaning levels of our store areas, especially in the most commonly touched areas such as the keypad entry system, communal door handles, lift buttons and toilet flushes.
Storage solutions centres are typically not crowded places. However, if you are showing any symptoms of the Coronavirus, we please ask you not to visit a store.
