COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 27 MAY 2020

At Cubic Storage, the health and safety of our customers and staff is our priority.

As the Government has relaxed the restrictions on people’s movements our stores have returned to near normal operations subject to some new measures to ensure that our customers and staff are safe.

We have undertaken a full external risk assessment and have introduced the following regime for all customers and staff.

  • We have closed the doors to our reception office and these will be opened to customers who are wearing a mask and who will observe social distancing of at least 2 metres. Our staff have been issued with appropriate personal protective equipment, but customers are required to provide their own before access will be permitted.
  • We have introduced floor markings and signage throughout our stores to ensure that everyone is able to observe social distancing of at least 2 metres.
  • Our cleaning routines have been intensified especially in more heavily trafficked areas such as in loading bays and around the lifts and cleaning stations have been set up in our loading bays.
  • Only one person is allowed in a lift at a time.

We will continue to monitor any changes to Government guidelines and will introduce further measures to comply with any such changes as necessary so that we may provide as clean and safe an environment as possible for our customers and staff.

ROUTINES FOR NEW CUSTOMERS

We have introduced a new contactless move-in process whereby new customers can provide all of the required security information and complete an “e contract” online.

All that is required upon arrival at our stores is for a passport, driving licence or other photographic proof of identity to be shown to a member of our staff and we will have your storage unit ready for you.

ROUTINES IN STORE

  • Wash your hands frequently with soap for 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth
  • Use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser
  • If you need to cough or sneeze, please do so into the crook of your elbow or use a disposable tissue.
  • Please do not visit our stores if you show any symptoms of Covid-19
  • Customer toilets are located on the ground floor and have provision for hand-washing

COVID-19 CORONAVIRUS UPDATE 14 APRIL 2020

At Cubic Storage, the health and safety of our customers and staff is our priority.

The period of self-isolation for some members of our staff has now ended. Accordingly, a single member of staff will now be available in both of our stores between 9am and 5.30pm Monday – Friday. Other members of staff will work from home throughout the week to further reduce the potential for spreading the virus.

For new customers, a storage unit can be reserved online and the security paperwork can be dealt with by a combination of online actions with telephone assistance from a member of staff between 9am – 5.30pm Monday – Saturday.

The member of staff within the building will be able to guide you through the move-in process remotely or whilst observing the required social distancing regime in place in accordance with Government guidelines which we also ask our customers to observe at all times.

All customers are advised that the reception office will not be open until further notice and there are instructions on the reception door as to how to contact the member of staff within the building.

Access to a Cubic Storage facility is automated and all customers will still be able to access their storage unit using the keypad entry system during the times permitted under their agreement.

All customers are asked that when they arrive at and leave the store to please wash their hands using soap and warm water for at least 20 seconds on each occasion. Customer toilets are located on the ground floor close to the reception office in the main body of the store and have provision for hand-washing.

We have intensified the cleaning levels of our store areas, especially in the most commonly touched areas such as the keypad entry system, communal door handles, lift buttons and toilet flushes.

Storage solutions centres are typically not crowded places. However, in accordance with the Government’s advice we request that customers should only leave their homes for the specified limited purposes and so avoid the potential for spreading the virus.

The Government is permitting storage centres to remain open because it acknowledges that some business customers in storage centres may be part of the essential logistics supply chain. Accordingly, we request that our customers who are not supplying goods and services should not visit the stores for the time being unless it is essential.

As a result, the following arrangements will apply in our stores until further notice

For the time being, toilet facilities will not be available to customers. Covid-19 Coronavirus Update 27 March 2020

In accordance with the Government’s updated advice we request that customers should only leave their homes for the specified limited purposes and so avoid visiting our storage facilities during the lock down unless it is essential.

A member of staff will continue to be present on site for the time being in accordance with our earlier announcement. The Government is currently permitting storage centres to remain open because it acknowledges that some business customers in storage centres may be part of the essential logistics supply chain. Accordingly, we request that our business customers who are not supplying essential goods and services should not visit the stores for the time being unless it is essential.

The times that a member of staff will be available on site may be subject to change at short notice and your understanding in this regard is appreciated. However, access to Cubic Storage is automated and existing customers will still be able to access their storage unit using the keypad entry system in accordance with their contracted hours.

We remind customers that although our stores are not crowded that Government advice regarding social distancing should be respected at all times.

We thank you for your co-operation.
